Volunteer Opportunities in Fort Wayne, Indiana
The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer heavily relies on talented and dedicated volunteers who share our passion for putting an end to breast cancer. Throughout the year we have many various opportunities for you to donate your time and talents. Descriptions of various volunteer opportunities are shown below. Volunteer Opportunities:

Tickled Pink

​2019 Tickled Pink—A Gathering of Girlfriends takes place on Friday, October 4. Volunteers are an important part of making this event special. Volunteer opportunities are listed below. Please register for the area(s) you would like to volunteer. We will try to accommodate your first request. You will receive notification of your assignment the week of September 23. A volunteer training class will be held prior to event at the Vera Bradley Design Center.

If you are volunteering to be a bartender, an Indiana Bartenders License or Indiana Volunteer Bartender License is required. Be sure to wait until you receive confirmation that you will be bartender before applying for an Indiana Volunteer Bartenders License.

Pre-Event Preparation -Thursday, October 3

10 am - 4 pm
Work Day—We need extra help prior to the event with various activities. Assemble guest gift, prizes and name tags, prep decor and other items for the event.

Event Day Preparation - Friday, October 4

10 am - 5 pm
Event Setup—Set tables, place tablecloths and flowers, prep beverage stations, hang and place decor before event begins.

Hang Ribbons—Hang ribbons outside building and around grounds for the night's event.

Event - Friday, October 4

4:30 pm - 11 pm
Auction Helper
—Answer questions about auction items. Monitor auction at close. Pull sheets at end of auction. Help collection of money from winning auction bidders. Package up items and give to paid guest.

4:30 pm - 11 pm
—Serve beer and wine at bars throughout building. Must have an Indiana Bartender License or Indiana Volunteer Bartender License. To apply click HERE.Then click on the Employee Permit, printable copy at the bottom of the page.

4:30 pm - 11 pm
Beverage Assistant
—Act as a bartender assistant to get things that they need and run for more supplies, etc. (Not a bartender - no license required)

4:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Foundation Table
—Run register and handle sales of Foundation merchandise.

4:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Hospitality Assistant
—Keep beverage and food service stations cleaned and stocked, clear tables, assist at food stations and help keep areas nice and clean.

4:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Event Station Assistant
—Assist in one of the activity stations during the event; photo studio, tours, Product Development, etc.

2020 Classic and Turn the Town Pink

Classic and Turn the Town Pink events take place in May and June. More information and details will be announced at a later date.
