OUR TEAM

Stephanie Scheele, Executive Director

I’m intensely passionate about this cause and see a future where a diagnosis of breast cancer is not scary or overwhelming. The Foundation has and will continue to provide hope to countless women and men, along with their families. I’m extremely grateful for the dedicated servant leaders at the IU Cancer Center who are working tirelessly to perfect therapies and for all of the donors and volunteers that make this work possible.

Kris Reese, Brand Manager

I’m fortunate to design communications and collateral for the Foundation that express our motivation. Managing this brand is the most rewarding job I've had and often doesn't feel like work. My husband's grandmother passed away at a young age from breast cancer and several of my friends have lost their mothers to cancer. These lost opportunities – women who never got to meet their grandchildren – are what motivate me the most.

Anna Shelton, Communication Specialist

Emphasizing the importance of breast cancer research through different communication channels is a privilege, and something I don’t take lightly. I’m grateful to work alongside other amazing women whose passion for finding a cure aligns with mine. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer. For me, that person is my mom. I work for her!

Kathy Ray, Partner Specialist

Funding breast cancer research is important to me because my mother is a 25-year breast cancer survivor! I love partnering with people and organizations across the country who choose to support this incredible cause. My husband and I have two daughters who we hope won’t have to face this disease. That is why I’m so appreciative of the research team, volunteers, and other staff members who fight daily to find a cure!

Amelia McArdle, Development Coordinator

I love spreading hope to those impacted by breast cancer. Planning events that bring people together for one cause – raising funds for breast cancer research – excites me. I have several friends who have battled breast cancer, and I believe one day we will find a cure! I look forward to that day, a day where no one will experience the loss of a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, or friend to this disease.

Our Volunteers

The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer team heavily relies on hundreds of talented and dedicated volunteers who share our passion for putting an end to breast cancer. Our accomplishments are a result of collaboration and teamwork. Thank you volunteers!
