18-Hole Tournament is SOLD OUT! Join the fun and register your team for the 9-hole tournament!

In 2019, the 26th annual Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Classic® in Fort Wayne, Indiana gathered more than 2,500 guests, players and volunteers for beautiful sporting events to raise funds for breast cancer research. The fun and friendly Classic competitions allowed you to invest in a team of the best, the brightest and the most passionate researchers in the world. Researchers that are pursing ideas that will ultimately change the face of breast cancer!

Update: Enhanced safety measures, including a masking and social distancing policy, will be in place to minimize risk of exposure for everyone involved.

9-Hole Golf Details

Schedule
7:30 - 8:30 am: Registration & Breakfast
8:00 am: Driving Range Open
9:00 am: Shotgun Start (Morning Tee Time)
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Registration & Lunch
12:00 pm: Driving Range Open
1:30 pm: Shotgun Start (Afternoon Tee Time)
5:00 pm: Classic Celebration featuring a silent auction, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and short program at Fort Wayne Country Club. Classic Celebration is included in golf players’ fees.

Entry Fee & Registration
Fee is $200 per entrant. Entry fee includes greens fee, continental breakfast or lunch, team photo, cart rental, practice tee, putting contest, snacks, Classic Celebration and a Vera Bradley gift. Entry also includes one ticket per participant for early admission to the Vera Bradley Annual Sale on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Tickets will be sent in April of 2022.

A rain date is not available. In the event of inclement weather, a phone hotline is established to announce alternate plans for the day.

Entry deadline is Friday, August 6, 2021 in order to play in the Classic. The committee reserves the right to close registration prior to the deadline if the field is full.

Although individuals may enter, the committee cannot guarantee that all individual entries will be paired. It is recommended to enter as a team. Please notify tournament chairperson of any team member changes. Starting times and hole number will be confirmed via a letter sent the first week of September. Format
Play format will be a modified Florida Scramble. Tournament play is open to women amateurs.

Please wear appropriate golf attire (i.e., no denim, cutoffs, tank tops, etc.). Soft spikes are mandatory. If necessary, please have spikes changed prior to the day of the tournament (any golf course can replace spikes).

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the first through fourth lowest team scores on both nines. Proximity awards will also be presented. Best-dressed team prize will be awarded.

Scorekeepers

Registering
When signing up, please select golf club and tee time preference. If you wish to request to keep score for a specific team, please list the Team Captain's name. We will make every effort to accommodate your wishes. As a scorekeeper, you will be treated to a lunch and a cap. Please be prepared to walk the course as you keep score for your assigned team.

Classic Celebration
If you would like to join us for the Classic Celebration, the cost is $50.

One week before the tournament, we will mail your assignment and details regarding your responsibilities.

Classic Celebration*—Modified

The Classic Celebration has been modified to ensure the health and safety of all participants, sponsors, volunteers and other attendees in light of the recent rise of COVID-19 cases throughout the United States and in the Fort Wayne community.

Unfortunately, the Classic Celebration, scheduled for Monday, September 20, will no longer take place due to gathering size limitations and the inability to practice proper social distancing in the event venue.

We're working hard to make this day memorable for you and will have special surprises added to the event in lieu of the celebration we aren’t able to share this year.

The Classic’s Silent Auction will now be hosted online and will be available to all sponsors, volunteers and event participants. Auction details will be shared via email in mid-September.
