New Breast Cancer Awareness Color: Loves Me …!
Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 19, 2010) — Pink, the universal color for breast cancer awareness is boldly scattered throughout Vera Bradley’s new breast cancer awareness color Loves Me …
“Pink is obviously the color of awareness and the daisy is known for its healing natures,” says Vera Bradley Vice President of Design Veronique Poudrier.
With a navy blue background that represents trustworthiness and dependability, the new color is designed to appeal to a large audience. The bright and cheerful pattern of Loves Me … is reminiscent of the free spirit 60’s says the Vera Bradley design team. “Loves me … is a large scale print that was inspired by an original 60’s American textile,” adds Poudrier.

Loves Me … benefits the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer and other breast cancer related projects and services. Since "Return to Happiness" in 1998, eight breast cancer awareness designs have raised funds and awareness for the cure.
It is important to us that the breast cancer awareness patterns tug at our heart strings, and Loves Me … does just that! says Poudrier. “We like the emotions to show through the patterns we design. What an honor it is to work on breast cancer awareness items!”
