CCSA donates more than $30,000 to the Foundation
Fort Wayne, Indiana (November 14, 2008) — The Contemporary Ceramic Studio Association (CCSA) gave $32,537 to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer at its annual convention in Phoenix, Arizona.
Heidi Floyd, Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer development ambassador, who shared her personal story of battling breast cancer while pregnant at the convention’s Black Tie Dinner, says,
“There are so many compassionate, wonderful people in the world of ceramics and this association, and I am just so honored to be able call them my friends!”
Members donated artwork to be auctioned to raise funds. The international organization comprised of more than 1,000 paint-your-own pottery studios has a long history of philanthropy and celebrates this annually at the convention.
“We’re looking forward to more partnership fundraising activities with the Vera Bradley Foundation in the future,” says Angie Verburg CCSA chief executive officer.
